Excellent quality copy of the M35 Gasmask Carrying Can. These are the best of the reproduction gasmask cans available. The color is good, the welds are sturdy and the hardware is right. The only visible differences from originals are that the ribs aren't quite as deep and the straps are a bit lighter in color than. But with a little wear & tear, they look real. These are the best bang for the money. Diameter 11.5cm, Height 26cm.
Weenie Note 1- "in depth analysis": Several "discriminating" types have demanded metallurgical analyses, exact rib depth measurements, etc, etc.. If you are that concerned with the perfection of your time warp experience, just get an original (yes they cost more) and quit acting like lunatic. These are very, very good.
Weenie Note 2- "Blemishes": Most of these have a small chip or two in the paint and many have (HORRORS!) a ding or two. (Chips & dings does not mean half the paint gone or the can is crushed). They were packed in one giant container without padding. Now, if these were Maserati hoods, that would be a problem. But this is combat gear. It may be news to some of you faint-hearted parade ground princesses, but the first time you wear a gas mask canister (or mess tin or metal canteen cup) the paint is going to get chipped. It's metal and it will bang around on your bayonet hilt, E-tool, your rifle butt will hit it when it's slung, etc, etc..
So, if utter perfection is your wish, these are not for you.
If you return one for "no chips" then you will get a refund.
